Cambridge English Language Assessment Exams: Discount for state schools & Bologna University

Cambridge English Language Assessment exams are available at a discount for students attending Bologna University or state or state recognised (“parificate”) schools. Exam prices are revised annually in agreement with MIUR.

In return schools are asked to provide venues and support staff.

Cambridge English Language Assessment also provides teachers with assistance in preparing students for Cambridge English Language Assessment exams in the form of seminars, teaching resources and materials.

Computer based exams
Computer based exams are available for schools willing to offer the use of their computer laboratory and the assistance of their technical staff. Please contact Susan D'Apuzzo

EXTRA EXAM DATES CAN BE ARRANGED AT SCHOOLS WHICH REQUEST THEM PROVIDING THERE ARE ENOUGH CANDIDATES TO JUSTIFY THEM.

• Late entries are subject to an additional charge: within 20 days of the closing date, €50; €100 from the 21st day.
• The written and listening components are now on the same day also for the FCE, CAE and CPE exams.

How can I enrol my students for an Cambridge English Language Assessment exam?

• Fill in this form.
• Candidates must be enrolled as a group. Individual enrollments or late additions will be treated as individual candidates and will have to pay the full price.
• The list must contain the names, surnames and dates of birth of all of the candidates, the name, telephone number and fax number of the school as well as the name of the teacher (with cell number) responsible for the students, to whom the enrolment information and results will be sent.

Regulations

• Candidates are only enrolled for an exam once we have received payment of the exam fees.
• Dates for KET, PET and FCE written exams: you can indicate your preferences but for for organisational reasons the final decision rests with the Associazione Culturale Italo Britannica. When the date chosen by the Associazione Culturale Italo Britannica does not coincide with that chosen by the candidate, the candidate will be informed 3 weeks before the exam.  
• All candidates must bring an official document of identification (with a photograph attached).
• We can provide facilities for candidates with special needs such as visual difficulties, hearing impairment, dyslexia, but please contact us directly well in advance of the enrolment period.
• Candidates with permanent disabilities are required to notify us at least three months before the enrollment dates for the exam.
• Dates for Starters, Movers and Flyers must be agreed with the Associazione Culturale Italo Britannica at least 8 weeks beforehand.
• Oral exams: The dates of the oral exams will be communicated later. They could be on any day of the week (including Sunday), before, after or during the written exams. Their date can not be changed.
• Written Exams: For organisational reasons it may be necessary to change the date of the written exam to another day approved by Cambridge English Language Assessment. In this event we undertake to inform candidates in advance.
• Reimbursement: in the case of certified illness only and at the discretion of Cambridge English Language Assessment, fees will be partially reimbursed. In such cases the medical certificate must be sent to us within 10 days of the date of the exam. Enrolment fees cannot be transferred to another session, exam or person.
• Transfering to other exams centres is possibile, both in Italy and abroad, on condition that the new centre accepts the candidate. It is not possible to transfer for part of the exam. The candidate will also be liable to pay the entire enrolment fee again at the new centre. In this case the fee paid to Cambridge English Language Assessment will be refunded by the original centre while the local administration fee will not be refunded or only partly refunded, according to the discretion of the centre.
• Transfer of level e.g. from FCE to CAE or of session e.g. from June to December, is not possible
• It is not possible to pass on the enrolment to another candidate.
• We reserve the right to cancel examination sittings or examinations if enrolments fall short of the minimum number required by Cambridge. In such a case those already enrolled will be fully reimbursed.
• All the examination papers are corrected and awarded marks by Cambridge English Language Assessment in the UK. The results are then communicated to the Associazione Culturale Italo Britannica. The results of the exam are final.
• The scripts of the exam remain the property of Cambridge English Language Assessment and cannot be returned. Results are sent directly to the candidate at the address given on the enrolment form.
• The results will be sent to the teacher who enrolled the group who should then pass on the results to the candidates.
