Harri Pritichard Jones is respected in both the fields of medicine and literature and is author of fifteen volumes of novels and short stories, as well as works of literary criticism and translation.

He was born in England in 1933 and was educated on the island of Anglesey and in Trinity College, Dublin. He worked as a doctor and a psychiatrist in the Cardiff area. Harri has acted as a judge for Welsh language poetry and literature awards.
